Overview
One of greatest perks that comes with being a ClickBank Seller is having access to a motivated army of ClickBank Affiliates. Before we delve into how a seller attracts affiliates, let’s take a deeper look at the seller/affiliate relationship.
Many sellers ask themselves, “What’s in it for me?” when it comes to paying commission to affiliates. After all, the seller is the one who creates the product. Why could they give away the majority of the sale to an affiliate?
Here’s why:
The ClickBank Affiliate Network is an extremely effective channel that can be used to draw attention to your product and increase your revenue. Many ClickBank Affiliates are well-established and have a large audience and advertising budget. The best thing about the ClickBank Affiliate Network it that you only pay affiliates a commission when a successful sale is made. You don’t pay them per click or per lead.
There are some specific things you can do to help attract affiliates to promote your product. We’ve listed them below for your reference. Click each item to access a “how to” article complete with steps to help walk you through each process.
How to Attract ClickBank Affiliates to Promote Your Product
Here’s a list, in no particular order, of things you can do to help attract affiliates to promote your product.
Add a Marketplace Listing
When ClickBank Affiliates look for products to promote, they often start at the ClickBank Marketplace. Make sure you have an up-to-date listing to get their attention. For more information on how to add a marketplace listing, check out this article.
Set Commissions
Affiliates are more likely to work to promote products when the commission rate they are offered is between 50-75%. To learn how to set an account-wide commission rate, click here.
Offer CPA Commission
A CPA commission, or cost per action commission, is a fixed commission amount paid to an affiliate when a specific action is taken. In the case of ClickBank, that action is the initial sale in a seller's sales funnel. Affiliates benefit from CPA commissions because they know exactly how much they will earn for each conversion and do not have to worry about potential refunds or chargebacks. This is especially true for larger affiliates who are managing big campaigns with greater ad spend.
Add More HopLink Target URLs
HopLink Target URLS, also known as “landing pages,” are the pages that affiliates link out to. Offering them more options with content specific to their demographics makes promoting products easier. Here's a quick article about how to do this.
Create Branding and Marketing Content
A surefire way to attract affiliates is to provide them with all of the branding and marketing content they need to successfully promote your product. For more suggestions about the kind of materials you might want to provide, check out this article.
Recruit New Affiliates
In addition to attracting current ClickBank Affiliates, you can recruit anyone to join ClickBank and start promoting products. Some of the most successful recruiting tactics are social media and forums. Some sellers use a "Join My Affiliate Program" link on their website to recruit affiliates. Utilize Keywords on ClickBank
Keywords are small identifiers that help enrich a seller's search data, thus improving the path for affiliate's to find their offer. Sellers can add up to ten keywords to their Marketplace listing that help identify what their offer is and what niche it is related to.
