ISR or ISN to Postback/Pixels Considerations
Before replacing any of your existing services with a Postback/Pixels integration, we recommend considering the following points:
1. Availability of Existing & New Tracking Integrations Features
Our existing integration features, both ISR tracking pixels and IPN/INS, will remain available for use even after the new Postback/Pixels feature is released. You have the option to continue using your current integration setup or switch to use the new Postback Pixel tracking feature, or some combination of the two.
Note: Once the Postback Pixel feature is more developed, we plan to deprecate the existing ISR tracking pixel feature as it provides a more robust tracking integration solution that provides more accurate and reliable data.
2. Avoiding Duplicate Events
Using both the old and new integration methods simultaneously, for the same events, may result in duplicate events being recorded. To prevent this, it's essential to activate your new integration in lockstep with deactivating your legacy integration. We strongly recommend testing and verifying the new integration is working as expected before flipping one on and the other off.
3. Availability of Pre-built Integration Templates
Assess if ClickBank has a pre-built integration template for the integration you're considering for transition. To view the integration templates currently supported, navigate to the Postbacks/Pixels page within your primary (Master) user account, click “Add Integration” button, and view the established integration templates.
While it’s not required, we expect to add many more pre-built, easy-to-use integration templates to streamline the setup process so that it’s easier for you to get started.
However, you also have the flexibility to set up the integration from scratch using “Custom” Integration type. We recommend evaluating your current integrations configured within your nickname account and assessing performance and reliability to help with your decision. If your existing integrations serve your purpose, then you have no urgent need to move anything.
4. Compatibility and Transition Recommendations from your 3rd Party
Before transitioning your integration, we recommend checking with your third-party platform to understand their compatibility with the new Postback/Pixels Tracking feature. Many platforms already support postback URL setup, but it's always best to confirm compatibility and transition recommendations to ensure seamless transition.
5. Testing with a Small Segment
As a best practice, we recommend testing the new postback pixel tracking feature with a small segment of your traffic or conversions before fully transitioning your integration. Testing allows you to identify any issues or discrepancies and make necessary adjustments before implementing across all of your accounts.
Recommended Steps for Transitioning
-
Create the new integration in your primary (Master) user account, and set the status to inactive.

- Utilize the test integration tool to confirm the new integration method is working as expected. We highly recommend verifying within your third-party tool that the integration is working as expected, as well.
- Once you have verified the integration is working, you will want to turn on (“Activate”) the new integration and then turn off the existing integration within the Nickname account in quick succession to avoid duplicate event reporting.
