How to Add Products and Variants in ClickBank

Create products in your Product Catalog, add variants, and submit them to ClickBank for compliance review.

Product setup captures the core details of what you sell. Pricing, bundles, and how products are sold are configured separately when you build your offer funnels.

Before you begin

Have the following information ready:

  • Product and variant names

  • SKUs

  • Product images

  • Cost of goods for physical products

  • Any compliance documents required for your product category

For digital products, you’ll also need either the access information for a self-hosted product or the file you want ClickBank to host.

Steps

  1. Open your Product Catalog

    1. Log in to your ClickBank seller account.

    2. Select Vendor Settings.

    3. Open Offer Studio.

    4. Select the Product Catalog tab.

    5. Click Add a Product to open the Product Details panel.

  1. Enter the product name.

    1. Enter a Product Name. ClickBank automatically populates a variant name and SKU, both of which you can change.

  2. Add at least one variant.

    1. Use variants for different versions of the same product, such as flavors, colors, or sizes. A product without these differences may need only one variant. (ex. a product named Protein Powder might have variants for vanilla, chocolate and strawberry)

    2. Add a variant image.

      1. Click the image placeholder.

      2. Select an existing image from your library, or choose Upload New Image.

    3. Select a category and complete the required fields

      1. Choose the category that matches the variant. The category determines which additional fields and compliance documents appear.

        1. Physical products

          1. Enter the cost of goods and complete the applicable fields. The tutorial also shows an optional fulfillment identifier.

Some categories require additional compliance documentation. For example, selecting Food & Beverages → Other displays an FDA label upload requirement.

        2. Digital products

          1. Choose how the product will be hosted:

            1. Self-hosted: Provide the access URL and credentials.

            2. ClickBank-hosted: Upload the digital product file so ClickBank can store it and provide customer access.

  3. Add compliance documents

    1. Upload the documents requested for the selected category.

    2. Requirements may apply at different levels:

      1. Variant-level requirements: Documents associated with an individual variant, such as its FDA label.

      2. Product-level requirements: Documents associated with the overall product, such as the Certificate of Insurance shown in the tutorial.

    3. In the demonstrated workflow, a missing required FDA label prevents submission. The product can be submitted without the Certificate of Insurance, which can be supplied later through the compliance review process. The compliance team may also be able to apply an existing certificate already on file.

    4. Submission does not mean approval. ClickBank may request additional information during review.

  4. Add more variants

    1. To add another version of the product. Click + Add Variant.

    2. Complete the applicable fields and upload its required documents.

    3. Repeat for each variant.

  5. Save a draft or submit for review

    1. At the bottom of the Product Details panel, choose:

      1. Save and Exit to keep your work as a draft and return later.

      2. Submit for Review to send the product to ClickBank’s compliance team.

      3. If required information is missing, correct the validation errors and submit again.

  6. Track the compliance review and respond to requests

    1. Return to the Product Catalog to check the product’s status

    2. To view review details or communicate with ClickBank’s compliance team:

      1. Open the product’s three-dot action menu.

      2. Select See Compliance Review.

      3. Review the ticket status and messages.

      4. Use the ticket to continue the conversation with the compliance team.
