Setting up your account-level defaults before adding products or building funnels will save you time across the entire setup process.

Setting up your account-level defaults before adding products or building funnels will save you time across the entire setup process. These defaults automatically populate your purchase options and order forms, so you do not have to re-enter them manually every time.

You can still override any of these settings on individual purchase options or order forms whenever you need a specific configuration.

Where to Find Account Settings

Log in to your ClickBank seller portal and navigate to:

  • Vendor Settings → My Site for customer support defaults, payment methods, and affiliate rates.

  • Vendor Settings → My Features for vendor-enabled checkout capabilities.

1. Default Return Instructions (Customer Support Information)

Every time you create a purchase option in a funnel, ClickBank pulls in your account's default return instructions.

  1. Navigate to Vendor Settings → My Site.

  2. Locate the Customer Support Information card.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. In the Default Return Instructions field, describe your return policy and the instructions customers should follow if they need to request a refund or return physical goods.

  5. Save your changes.

Tip: Having clear, standardized return instructions saved here prevents you from having to rewrite return terms every time you configure a new purchase option, bundle, or subscription.

2. Payment Methods (Order Form Control)

You can manage the payment methods available to your buyers at checkout across your order forms.

  1. On the Vendor Settings → My Site page, scroll down to Order Form Control.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Under Payment Methods, enable or disable the digital wallets and alternative payment options you wish to accept:

    • PayPal

    • Apple Pay

    • Google Pay

    • Klarna

  4. Review your integration testing settings (such as test URL parameters for staging payments) if you are verifying checkout flows before launch.

  5. Save your changes.

3. Default Affiliate Commission Rate

Whenever you create a new purchase option in a funnel, ClickBank pre-populates the commission rate using your account-level default.

  1. On the Vendor Settings → My Site page, scroll down to Managing Your Affiliates.

  2. Locate the Default Commission Rate setting.

  3. Enter the standard percentage you want your affiliates to earn on sales.

  4. Save your changes.

Note: When creating specific purchase options later (such as introductory subscription offers or low-margin bundles), you can always toggle off the default rate and set a custom commission percentage for that individual option.

4. Enable Quantity Editing on Order Forms (My Features)

If you want customers to be able to change item quantities directly on your order forms, you must enable this capability at the account level first.

  1. Go to Vendor Settings → My Features.

  2. Review the feature tables:

    • Always Available: Features enabled across your account by default.

    • Vendor Enabled: Features requiring explicit activation.

  3. Under the Vendor Enabled section, find Edit Quantity.

  4. Make sure Edit Quantity is enabled.

Important: Even if you customize an order form layout or style it to display quantity selectors, buyers will not be able to edit quantities at checkout unless this setting is turned on in My Features.

Account Setup Checklist

Before proceeding to Product Catalog or Funnel Builder, ensure:

  • Default return instructions are filled out under Customer Support Information.

  • Preferred payment methods (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna) are toggled in Order Form Control.

  • Standard default affiliate commission rate is configured.

  • Edit Quantity is enabled under My Features if you plan to allow variable quantity purchases on checkout pages.
