TLDR;
There are two separate account interfaces on ClickBank. Access your Nickname Account through your primary ClickBank account.
Overview
The ClickBank interface allows for multiple, connected ClickBank Nickname Accounts (aka account nicknames) that are highly customizable at an individual level but that can also be collectively analyzed and managed through your primary ClickBank Account.
This functionality allows for sellers and affiliates to exist in both roles under one account. Additionally, it allows users to have multiple nicknames and for brands to maintain and control employee relationships without compromising their business security.
ClickBank Clients who are new to the platform will have a nickname account in addition to their primary account. The nickname account is only accessible through the primary account.

What do I need to get started?
If you already have a ClickBank Nickname Account from before October 2019 and you want to utilize all of the features of your primary account, you need to link your nickname account to your primary account.
ClickBank clients only need one primary account. If you have multiple nickname accounts, you can link them to one primary account and access them through one sign-on.
If you don’t have a nickname account and are new to ClickBank, you can create one through your primary account. You are not required to link your new nickname account to your primary account after you have created it; the nickname account is automatically linked.
What is an Account Nickname?
An account nickname is the term for the name of a particular nickname account. This is also how different ClickBank Nickname Accounts are differentiated in your primary account.
Additionally, sellers use this identification to search for affiliates to adjust or change commission. Affiliates use this identification to search for particular sellers in the ClickBank Affiliate Marketplace.
This terminology is used throughout ClickBank and always refers to the individual nickname account. Other terminology may include: ClickBank ID, CBID, account ID, and ClickBank username.
What is the primary account?
Think of your primary ClickBank account as a hub. For sellers who have multiple nickname accounts for specific brands or niches, the primary account allows for…
- The addition of team-members to manage your business operations.
- Comprehensive “big picture” reporting.
- Ticket management for all connected accounts.
For affiliates, the primary account can connect all nickname accounts and provide data about all of your combined operations on ClickBank. This is particularly helpful for affiliates who operate out of more than one account and want to simplify their financial reports.
All ClickBank Clients stand to benefit from linking their nickname accounts created before October 2019 to their primary account. Any users that have created accounts since October 2019 will access their nickname accounts through their primary account.
Primary Account Functions
The primary ClickBank Account is the portal to all linked account nicknames which are accessible through the Accounts tab.
With the advent of the primary account, ClickBank Clients can access a robust suite of new features that were built for brands and clients to scale. These features include: multi-account data, team-member permissions and roles, and the ability to manage customer service requests in a central location.
While many of these features are designed to be used by sellers, affiliates will also find the transactional reporting feature to be helpful in getting a bird’s eye view of their data.
While many of these features can be accessed via the individual nickname account, the primary account allows clients to manage their combined and connected accounts from one central location without going off of the ClickBank platform.
NOTE: The primary ClickBank Account is accessed using an email address–not a ClickBank Account Nickname.

Nickname Account Functions
The ClickBank account nickname interface holds all of the payment, sales, and offer data for a particular account nickname. Sellers and affiliates may differ in how they use this account.
For example, sellers use this account to submit their products, manage shipping profiles, build their offer, set and adjust commission rates, and monitor single-account analytics. This is also where they can update their payment methods and preferences.
For affiliates, this account provides information about their commission groups and rates, single-account analytics, and payment methods and preferences.
ClickBank clients can only access their account nicknames through a primary account.
