Overview
Commission Groups provide a seller with the ability to offer custom commission rates for select affiliates that differ from their standard settings. Sellers using Commission Groups are able to grow a robust affiliate program by customizing rates to meet the individual needs of affiliates and incentivize performance.
Here are just a few examples of the many ways that successful sellers have used Commission Groups to fit their affiliate management strategy:
- Higher commission rates for affiliates using promotional methods with higher ad spend.
- Tiered commission rates in groups that affiliates will be moved to when they reach a certain threshold of sales or traffic volume.
- Higher commission rates for a special promotion period.
When setting up a Commission Group, sellers can set a single commission rate that applies to all sales for a commission group and further customize those commission settings for product types, specific products, and upsell flows. In each of the override sections, the commission rate that is shown indicates what the commission rate will be for that product type, product, or upsell unless you set it differently.
