Great information.  I hope to implement the information shared soon.  I'm seeking information on how to get started.  My areas of interest are tech and aromatherapy. Open to advice and assistance.

    Pamela,

The Getting Started section contains more information about getting started as a vendor. You can also look at the Marketplace and see what products are out there in your areas of interest.

Under this page's section on vendor tracking IDs, it mentions the format of tracking IDs as being vtid=example. But it doesn't explain how to add tracking IDs to payment links. What would that look like? Do you need to add a question mark before the tracking ID?

Also, I was told by ClickBank support not long ago that tracking IDs only work on affiliate links, not vendor links. Has that changed? So vendors can now see tracking IDs in their accounts?

    Michael,

I'll include an example of a payment link with a vtid. Basically, the vtid is a parameter that's added to the end of the link.

Affiliates have their own tracking IDs, which use tid rather than vtid. Affiliate tracking IDs are not visible to vendors, but vendor tracking IDs are. If there are any changes to the use of vtids, I'll update this article to reflect them.

Time to let the http: be an https:  I realize the link forwards to secure. But it affects my capacity of creating an ssl on my page, since it is seen as an insecure destination.

    Lee,

You're not the only person who's pointed this out; I think a lot of folks would find it useful to have https HopLinks.

If we do make any changes to the potential formats for HopLinks, I'll update this page to let you know.

Is the vtid cached like the affiliate id?

For example, if I pass the vtid via page link:

    http://example.com/?vtid=something

When I click on the pay button in that page, will Clickbank be able to track the vtid?

    Shawn,

Any VTID that you pass with a payment link is tracked by ClickBank, yes.

    Osei,

You can use payment links on your pitch pages to direct customers to the ClickBank order form. You can use it on any kind of pitch page that you control, and you can use it in parallel with other ecommerce tools if you want.

    Osei,

There's a Transactions Reporting section that shows the sales you've made. You can also configure Instant Notifications so that you'll be notified automatically for every sale.
