Overview
The Transaction Report contains information on every transaction that occurs through your account on ClickBank. This report is available to both sellers and affiliates, however not all information is available to each role. The report is visible in table format with an option to download.

Accessing the Transaction Report
There are two transaction reports available to ClickBank users. There is the legacy transaction report which is available at the nickname account level. This report does not contain as much data or functionality as the transaction report at the primary account level.
The improved transaction report is accessible from your primary account. This report contains more data, more functionality, and has the ability to show data for all account nicknames that have been linked to your primary account.

To access the transaction report from your primary account, log in to your account, select Reporting, and then select Transaction Report.
Transaction Report Data
This section is currently being updated with new information. Thank you for your patience.
The following data fields are accessible in the transaction report via the primary account. Next to each field name is the role(s) that it is visible to as well as a brief description.

Transaction Date: seller, affiliate
This field contains the date that the transaction occurred.

Transaction Time: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the time that the transaction occurred. Transaction times are reported in Pacific Standard Time

Role On Transaction: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the role that the specific nickname filled on the transaction.
Possible field values include: Affiliate, JV Affiliate, JV Seller, Seller

Sales Account: seller, affiliate
This field refers to the account nickname that was attributed for the transaction. You can view data for any account nickname that is linked to this primary account (assuming report permissions have been granted).
Possible fields included any linked account nicknames.

Order Number: affiliate, seller
This field refers to a ClickBank-generated ID that links all transactions within an order. A customer’s order can have more than one transaction associated with it. The Order ID links together initial sale, order bump, and upsell transaction line item types.

Receipt Number: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the unique ClickBank receipt number for the transaction. For sellers, this number will appear as all eight character in the receipt number. Affiliates can see the first three characters--the remain characters are redacted. Rebill transactions have the same receipt number as the initial order, followed by a dash and four-digit number that indicates its place in a cadence of rebill transactions.

Order Type: affiliate, seller
This field indicates what kind of transaction occurred.
Possible field values include: Initial, Rebill, Other

Transaction Type: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the type of transaction that occurred.
Possible field values include: Chargeback, Refund, Sale

Line Item Type: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the specific type of transaction. Possible field values include: Initial, Order Bump, Upsell, Rebill, Check Processing Fee, Refund Fee, Chargeback Fee, Dormant Fee, None
Note: None includes release and withholding transactions

Primary Seller: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the account nickname of the primary seller who’s product was involved in the transaction.
Possible field values include the account nickname of sellers the affiliate involved in the transaction has promoted.

Primary Affiliate: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the account nickname of the primary affiliate who promoted the product involved in the transaction.
Possible field values include the account nickname of affiliates who have promoted the seller’s products.

Tracking ID: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the tracking ID on the HopLink that facilitated the transaction or the VTID (vendor tracking ID) which is used on the payment link. NOTE: This field is only visible to the affiliates.

Payment Method: affiliate
This field refers to the payment method used for the transaction.

Billing Customer First Name: seller
This field refers to the first name of the customer involved in the transaction. NOTE: This field is only visible to sellers.

Billing Customer Last Name: seller
This field refers to the last name of the customer involved in the transaction. NOTE: This field is only visible to sellers.

Billing Customer Email: seller
This field refers to the email address the customer provided on the order form related to the transaction. NOTE: This field is only visible to sellers through the transaction report. However, if an affiliate is using Instant Notifications

Billing City: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the billing city associated with the payment method provided on the order form related to the transaction.

Billing State: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the billing state associated with the payment method provided on the order form related to the transaction.

Billing Postal Code: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the billing postal code associated with the payment method provided on the order form related to the transaction.

Billing Country: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the billing country associated with the payment method provided on the order form related to the transaction.

Declined Marketing: affiliate, seller
This field refers to whether or not the customer declined marketing in accordance with GDPR and other privacy laws enacted at state and country levels. Affiliates and sellers must comply with the ClickBank Client Contract when conducting marketing.

Upsell Flow ID: seller
This field refers to the upsell flow ID of the particular upsell that was involved in the transaction. Upsell IDs are determined when an upsell is created in the nickname account. This ID can contain alphanumeric characters.

Upsell Path: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the upsell path that was taken by the customer during the transaction. This field will contain a code that represents the upsell cadence (1-7) and the characters "a" or "d" which represent "accept" and "decline" respectively.

Coupon ID: seller
This field refers to the any coupon ID that was used during the transaction, if applicable.

Order Form Template: seller
This field refers to the order form template ID that is determined by the seller when they create different order forms in the nickname account. This field can contain alphanumeric characters.

Seller Variables: seller

Commission Type: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the type of commission that was allocated to the affiliate that facilitated the transaction.
Possible field values include: CPA, Revshare

Product Item Number: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the product item number of the product that was involved in the transaction. The Product Item Number is set by the seller when the product is created in their nickname account.

Item Quantity: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the item quantity that was involved in the transaction.

Transaction Amount: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the total amount of the transaction.

Your Earnings: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the total earnings for the role represented in the transaction report line item.

Product Purchase Price: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the product purchase price

Shipping and Handling: seller

Customer Tax: seller

Foreign Exchange Fee: seller

Product Discount: seller
This field refers to the portion of the transaction that was allocated for a product discount, if applicable. This field will be represented in a dollar value.

Affiliate Earnings: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the portion of the transaction that was allocated for the affiliate earnings, if applicable. This field will be represented in a dollar value.

Seller Earnings: seller
This field refers to the portion of the transaction that was allocated for for the sellers earnings. NOTE: This field is only visible to sellers. This field will be represented in a dollar value.

JV Affiliate Earnings: affiliate, seller
This field refers to the portion of the transaction that was allocated for the JV affiliate earnings, if applicable. This field will be represented in a dollar value.

JV Seller Earnings: seller
This field refers to the portion of the transaction that was allocated for the JV seller earnings, if applicable. This field will be represented in a dollar value.

Platform Fee: seller
This field refers to the portion of the transaction that was allocated for the ClickBank transaction fee. This field will be represented in a dollar value.

Using the Transaction Report
The Transaction Report at the primary account level contains a robust and broad data set for each transaction. There are several ways to customize the report and get the most out of the functionality.
Row Spacing
Change how compact you wish to see the transaction data rows on the screen using the row spacing function. You can select from Compact, Standard, or Comfortable.
Hide & Show Fields
Depending on what data you want to see, you can hide and show data fields using the Hide & Show function. This is helpful for reducing the amount of information on the screen and focusing on what you want to analyze.
Filter Function
You can filter through specific data fields using the filter function. Click the Filter icon and then select the column you want to filter through.
Then select the operator from the Operator dropdown. Then enter in the value your wish to filter by.
Download the Report
To download this report, click the Download icon.
Field-Specific Functions
Each field has a “three dots” icon next to the data field title. Click this icon to show a menu of functionality specific to that field. You can…
- Sort ascending or descending by the field
- Filter this specific field from this menu
- Hide/show this field
- Aggregate the specific field
- Group by the data values in this field
- Pin the field to the right or left of the report
Using the “Group By” Tool
You can group by specific values in a data field and then, group by another specific data value. With two “group by” options, you can dig deeper into the granularity of your data.
Do Not Market Information
One of the fields available to both sellers and affiliates in the transaction report is the Declined Marketing field. This field has three possible data values:
- True – meaning that Do Not Marketing regulations apply in the country or region the transaction was made in, and the customer DID decline marketing
- False – meaning that meaning that Do Not Marketing regulations apply in the country or region the transaction was made in, and the customer DID NOT decline marketing
- Not Applicable – meaning that Do Not Market regulations are not applicable in the country that the transaction was made in
All ClickBank Clients must adhere to the ClickBank Client Contract when using client information for marketing.
