ClickBank Sellers can offer a free trial of a product to let customers try it before they commit to purchasing it.
You cannot edit an existing product to add a free trial. In order to offer a free trial, you must indicate so when you create your product on ClickBank. This is because recurring products cannot be edited once they are approved by ClickBank. If you want to add a free trial to a product that is already approved, you must re-create that product with the free trial included.
When you create a free trial, the customer will not be charged initially. Then, after a trial time that the seller determines when they create the product, the customer will be charged, and-depending on the recurring element of the product, charged according to the recurring frequency. There is a .50 fee paid to Clickbank per free trial purchase. Please keep this in mind when enabling free trials in your account.
Customers will be informed by ClickBank when their free trial is coming to an end. The reminder will be sent via email seven days prior to the trial ending. If the free trial duration is shorter than seven days, the customer will receive notification the day following the start of the free trial. If a trial period is not selected by the seller (aka vendor), the email will be sent seven days before the first re-bill.
NOTE: If you want to offer a true free trial where the customer is charged $0.00 initially, you must contact ClickBank to allow for this or include a comment in the Description field of the product editor.
