Build an Upsell Flow
An upsell flow offers additional products after the customer completes their initial purchase. Customers can buy with one click, with no re-entry of information.
Before you begin
Have a sales page URL ready for each step of the flow. Each step needs one.
Create the flow
Go to Vendor Settings → Offer Studio → Funnels and click Edit on your funnel.
Scroll to the Upsells section.
Click to add an upsell flow and name it (for example, Protein Upsell Flow), then click Add.
The flow builder is visual. The paylink sends the customer to the order form for their original product, and after checkout they enter the flow.
Configure the first offer
Enter the pitch page URL for the first step.
Click Add New to create a purchase option to promote on this page. Set its pricing, discount, and shipping rates, then save.
Add upsell and downsell steps
The flow branches based on the customer's decision:
If they accept an offer, they move to the next upsell.
If they decline, they move to the downsell.
To build the branches:
From the first offer, add an Upsell node. Enter its pitch page URL and add a purchase option. The example uses a Chocolate Protein option with a 40% discount.
Add a Downsell node. You can reuse an existing purchase option to save time.
Add further upsell and downsell tiers the same way. The example adds a third round with Strawberry Protein.
Offer multiple choices on the first page
Select the first node and add more purchase options. The example adds vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.
Adjust pricing so promotional pricing is consistent across the flow. The example avoids offering the deepest discount at the start.
Whichever option the customer picks on the first page, the next upsell and downsell lead to the same follow-up pages.
Collapse and save
Use the collapse control to minimize the flow on the page, then save and exit to Offer Studio.
Next step
Select the upsell flow when building a paylink.
