Enable Klarna on Your Order Form

How to enable Klarna as a payment method

NOTE: Klarna is a feature that is exclusively available to Platinum and Diamond clients who qualify. Reach out to your account manager if you are interested in enabling this feature.

Overview

Klarna is a flexible buy now, pay later payment option available at ClickBank checkout for eligible Platinum and above sellers. Offering Klarna can help reduce upfront price friction on higher-ticket offers and bundles by allowing customers to split purchases into flexible installment plans or monthly financing, while sellers continue to receive payment upfront through ClickBank.

Eligibility and Compliance Requirements

Before requesting Klarna enablement, review the following guidelines:

  • Policy Compliance: Your business, product offerings, and marketing practices must strictly adhere to both Stripe and Klarna policies, including their prohibited and restricted business categories:

  • Product Type Restriction: Klarna is currently supported for one-time purchase items only. It is not available for subscription or recurring billing products at this time. Support for recurring billing may be introduced in a future release.

Step 1: Request Admin Enablement

Because Klarna is an administrative-level feature restricted to Platinum and above tiers, it must be turned on by ClickBank before it can appear in your account settings:

  • Reach out to your dedicated account representative or ClickBank support.

  • Request that Klarna be enabled for your seller account.

  • Your representative will review your account eligibility, confirm product compliance, and complete the backend enablement.

Step 2: Enable Klarna on Your Order Form

Once administrative approval and enablement are complete, Klarna can be added to your order form though the Order Form ControlEditor

To enable or disable the Klarna for all products:

  1. Go to Vendor Settings > My Site > Order Form Control

  2. Click “Edit”

  3. Check Klarna > Enable

  4. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page

Once active, eligible buyers will see Klarna as an available payment option alongside standard credit card and payment methods at checkout. This applies to both the Order Form and Upsell flow.

We strongly recommend that you run a test transaction before fully enabling this feature. To do this:

  1. Go to Vendor Settings > My Site > Order Form Control

  2. Click “Edit”

  3. Check Klarna > Parameter Only

  4. Click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page

To test, simply add &klarna to one of your exiting paylinks.

Klarna Transaction Fees

Transactions processed through Klarna are subject to specific MPAY processing rates. These specialized rates apply strictly to transactions completed via Klarna in lieu of standard payment-processing fees. Standard fees continue to apply to credit card and other payment methods.
