Tracking your traffic sources and tracking type is valuable to understand performance across your promotion and campaign efforts.
If you're promoting the same product on a blog, in a forum post, and on Twitter, you can differentiate your HopLinks or Direct Tracking Links using traffic source parameters to track clicks and conversions that happen on each medium. Then, when a sale is made using one of your links, the traffic source is passed into ClickBank's reporting, so you'll be able to see which of your promotional efforts / traffic sources led to the sale.

Traffic Sources
The 'traffic_source' or ‘utm_source’ parameter identifies the origin of the traffic.
google: Traffic from Google search or Google Ads
bing: Traffic from Bing search
yahoo: Traffic from Yahoo search
facebook: Traffic from Facebook, including Facebook Ads
youtube: Traffic from YouTube videos or ads
instagram: Traffic from Instagram posts or ads
twitter: Traffic from Twitter posts or ads
quora: Traffic from Quora answers or ads
reddit: Traffic from Reddit posts or ads
pinterest: Traffic from Pinterest pins or ads
tiktok: Traffic from TikTok videos or ads
snapchat: Traffic from Snapchat content or ads
linkedin: Traffic from LinkedIn content or ads
taboola: Traffic from Taboola native ads
outbrain: Traffic from Outbrain native Ads
revcontent: Traffic from RevContent native Ads
email: Specific email campaigns (you can specify the campaign name)
webinar: Traffic from webinar platforms or promotions
blog: Traffic from your own blog or guest blogs
podcast: Traffic from podcast mentions or ads
sms: Traffic from SMS marketing campaigns
forum: Traffic from forums where your products or services are discussed
newsletter: Traffic from email newsletters (you might have multiple newsletters, each with a unique name)
direct: Used for direct traffic where the source is not known or is direct input

newsbreak: Traffic from news app Newsbreak
rumble: Traffic from video platform Rumble
Traffic Type
The ‘traffic_type’ or ‘utm_medium’ parameter identifies the marketing medium used, or “how” the traffic arrived. Note that there is sometimes overlap with traffic sources.
Traffic type and source parameters can be utilized in conjunction to identify traffic from specific types of traffic on the same source. For example: Facebook, paid vs Facebook, organic.
paid: Paid ad
cpc: Cost per click (used for paid search and other CPC campaigns)
email: Traffic from email marketing campaigns
organic: Traffic from organic (non-paid) search
blog: Traffic from your own blog or guest blogs
video: Traffic from video ads or promotions
influencer: Traffic generated by influencers
pr: Traffic from public relations efforts, such as press releases
webinar: Traffic from webinars
podcast: Traffic from podcast mentions or ads
direct_mail: Traffic from direct mail campaigns
qr_code: Traffic from QR code scans
forum: Traffic from forums or community discussions
print: Traffic from print ads or articles
outdoor: Traffic from outdoor advertising like billboards
display: Traffic from display advertising
referral: Traffic from referrals (excluding search engines)
sms: Traffic from SMS campaigns
incentive: in free-to play-games, for example, "watch this video for 5 minutes to earn 1,000 gold schmeckles"
publisher: for affiliate networks or people who have sub-networks
