Beginning June 28, 2022, in accordance with a recently passed California Law, ClickBank's minimum duration for new free trials will increase by one day, from three days to four. Going forward, new free trials will need to be a minimum of four days. The duration of paid trials is not impacted by this change.
Any Seller currently offering a 3-day free trial is NOT required to change the duration of their free trial unless they wish to update or change their offer or product. In that event the seller must abide by the new policy.
Additionally, by default, ClickBank will send a rebill notification for less-than-annual recurring products three days prior to the rebill, or 15 days prior to an annual rebill charge. (Contact us if you’d like to increase the amount of notice for your customers.)
Any Seller who has opted to have ClickBank send rebill notifications one or two days prior to a rebill charge is NOT impacted unless they want to update or change their offer or product. In that event, the seller must abide by the new minimum notice (3 days).
Sellers offering annually renewing subscriptions must opt to have ClickBank inform their customers of the rebill at least 15 days in advance, which is the default, but no greater than 45 days in advance. Currently, ClickBank policy requires ClickBank to inform customers of annual rebills 15 days prior.
