What is SMS messaging for ClickBank Sellers?
SMS messaging for ClickBank sellers occurs for two distinct order form events:
- Purchase
- Shipping
SMS messaging DOES NOT occur for subscription-related events.
With templated messaging and compliant outreach, ClickBank removes the burden of compliance from the seller, thus helping them avoid regulatory fines. Additionally, ClickBank manages opt-ins and opt-outs ensuring that SMS messages only go to who they should go to.
NOTE: This feature is only currently available for customers with U.S. phone numbers. Additionally, SMS will NOT be sent for purchases made with PayPal.
There is no charge to the customer for receiving SMS and they can opt out at any time. To opt out, customers can simply reply STOP.
Why did we prioritize this feature?
Current research and trends have indicated to us that customers want to receive alerts about their purchases. Now, sellers can rest assured that their customers are getting order information how they expect it.
Who can use this feature?
This feature is available for all sellers who opt to display the phone number field on their order form. The phone number field is paired with an SMS opt-in box. If a customer opts in to receive SMS alerts about their order, they will be notified when they purchase the product and when the product ships.
How to Start Using SMS
PLEASE NOTE: The addition of the phone number field and opt-in box to your order form is an admin-controlled feature. Please reach out support@clickbank.com or your account manager to enable this feature on your order form. Additionally, this feature is only available on the new order form.

Sellers who have enabled the phone number and customer opt-in box on their order form will automatically be enabled for this feature. However, it must be turned on for each product. Follow these instructions to turn on SMS messaging at the product level.
Step 1: Log in to your ClickBank account.
Step 2: Select the account nickname that houses the product you want to turn SMS messaging on for.
Step 2: Go to Vendor Settings, then My Products.
Step 3: Find the product you want to enable this feature for and click the vertical three dot icon. Then select Edit.
Step 4: Locate the Pitch Page & Thank You Page section and toggle on the Display a Phone Number Field toggle. This will enable the phone number to display for this product.
