Overview
ClickBank is encouraging all affiliates and sellers to make sure that their payment links and HopLinks are formatted using the "https" prefix, rather than the "http" prefix.
"https" links are http links with encryption and verification. "https" links use Transport Layer Security (formerly known as Secure Sockets Layer or SSL). This technology is a protocol that encrypts data; authenticates users; and verifies that data being passed has not been forged or tampered with.

When potential customers encounter unsecure links, they are often met with security warnings that add undue friction in a seller's sales funnel and reduce conversions and commissions for affiliates.

Updating Links
A quick way to create encrypted properly formatted HopLinks is to use the Affiliate Link Tools located in the primary account. Alternatively, you can use the Promote button in the ClickBank Marketplace.

NOTE: Simply adding an "s" to the "http" portion of a link that isn't formatted properly will not make it secure. All links must be formatted correctly in order function and provide attribution.
