Overview
Google’s Google Analytics 4 (GA4) migration deadline, which marks the sunset of Universal Analytics (UA), will occur on July 1, 2023.
ClickBank has updated our Google Analytics integration to fully support GA4 and ensure that your data is recorded accurately.
The process within the Integrated Sales Reporting section in your nickname account has not changed, so there isn't a new interface to familiarize.
Our integration supports both GA4 “G-” tags and “connected site” options, which allow you to continue using your UA-ID without manually replacing it in your ClickBank account.
In most instances, depending on your migration settings, your existing UA-ID will automatically pass new data to your associated GA4 property. In which case, there is no action required on ClickBank.
However, you can now input a GA4 ID directly in the Google Analytics field within your ClickBank account. While your tracking should continue with your UA-ID tags, you may want to manually switch to the latest "G" ID to get the most out of their tracking experience.
Parameters Passed from ClickBank
While the migration from UA to GA4 should be seamless, how you find and interact with your data in Google Analytics will be different.
Our updated tracking now separates out page views into more accurate event types: clickbank-order-form and clickbank-confirmation-page.
If you have updated to GA4 and are using the “G-tag,” this is how you will view your passed parameters:
Reports > Realtime > Event count by event name > clickbank-order-form or clickbank- confirmation-page > clickbank-data
Now, all passed parameters that are selected in your Integrated Sales Reporting will show up here, rather than under page-views, meaning that the new events will provide deeper insights into more accurate data.
