Will I receive tax forms from ClickBank?

Learn what tax forms ClickBank issues

Overview

Every January, ClickBank sends 1099 forms to ClickBank Affiliates who earn more than $600 in commissions. If a ClickBank Affiliate has not earned over $600, they will not receive a 1099 form. 1099 forms are mailed as paper documents to the mailing address on file for your account. These forms are issued by "Click Sales Inc." and are not sent via email or made available for download within your ClickBank account.

1099 forms are only issued for affiliate commissions, not for vendor/product sales. If you do not receive a 1099 for vendor sales, you can use your yearly payment totals in the Reporting tab for tax preparation.

US-based affiliates making more than $600 must provide a taxpayer ID. This ID is either a social security number (SSN) or an employer identification number (EIN) that has been issued by the IRS.

To request a 1099 form, ensure your mailing address on file is up-to-date. If you did not receive your mailed form, you can request a digital copy by emailing ClickBank’s accounting team with a clear subject line such as "1099 request" and include all relevant account nicknames. For prior-year forms, specify the tax year in your request.

Required Identification

The taxpayer ID that you provide must match the payee name on the account. If the account is listed under a business name, but will be reporting under an SSN, you must email [email protected] a completed IRS W-9 form. Be sure to include a cover sheet that indicates your account nickname.

If you are using a US address but are a beneficial resident of a foreign country, you will need to email a completed IRS W-8ben form to [email protected]. For further assistance, contact ClickBank’s accounting team through the designated email provided in your account. Ensure your request includes all necessary details, such as account nicknames and the tax year, to expedite the process.
