Overview
As of today, August 24, 2023, the new Automated Abandoned Cart Email feature is live!
This functionality is enabled by default in all sellers accounts not using INS. This means that there is no action required for included sellers. These emails will be sent automatically to all customers who have entered at least their email address on the order form, but left before completing the purchase.
Once an hour has passed since the customer left the order form, they will receive a ClickBank branded email with a payment link that will direct them back to the order form with their cart restored just the way they left it.

Opting Out of Automated Abandoned Cart Emails
To opt out of Automated Abandoned Cart Emails, follow these steps:
Step 1: Log in to your ClickBank account and select Accounts.
Step 2: Then, select the account nickname you want to disable automated abandoned cart emails in.
Step 3: Select Vendor Settings and then My Site.
Step 3: Scroll to Advanced Tools and click edit.
Step 4: Uncheck the box next to Send cart abandonment emails. Then click Save Changes.
Using INS and Automated Abandoned Cart Emails
If you have Instant Notification Service (INS) enabled at the time of the Automated Abandoned Cart Emails feature launch, the feature will not be automatically turned on for you.
This is because many ClickBank users who utilize INS use it for the "abandoned_cart" event it provides to create their own customized abandoned cart email flows using a third-party integration.
However, if you are currently using INS for purposes unrelated to abandoned cart email flow and wish to take advantage of this automated feature, you can enable the feature through the My Features section and then turn it on via the My Site.
If you are NOT currently using INS but wish to do so in the future to create customized abandoned cart email flows, make sure you disable the feature by following the instructions in the Opting Out of Automated Abandoned Cart Emails section. Otherwise, you will send duplicitous abandoned cart emails.
Email Template & Design
At this time, abandoned cart emails are not customizable. The only identifying elements in the email will be the product name. All abandoned cart emails will follow this template:
