Overview
Part of signing up for a ClickBank account is selecting an account nickname. Your account nickname is a unique identifier that allows for all transactions related to your account, seller or affiliate, to be accurately tracked.
NOTE: Your account nickname cannot be changed once you have selected it. If you wish to change your nickname, you must sign up for a new ClickBank account and close your existing account.
Account Nickname Uses
Here is how your account nickname is used:
- Sales Materials
Your account nickname also appears as part of your payment links and your encrypted HopLinks. It is visible to customers every time a product is sold and also appears on the memo line of the check issued to your from ClickBank.
Some ClickBank Sellers use incorrect or outdated terms for the account nickname. These outdated or evolved terms include:
- ClickBank ID
- CBID
- Affiliate ID
- Vendor ID
All of these terms mean the same thing as a "Account Nickname."
Account nicknames are connected to a primary ClickBank account. This allows ClickBank Clients to have multiple connect account nicknames and view their reporting from a central hub.
