Account Nickname

During the ClickBank signup process, you select an account nickname. Your nickname is the unique ID that allows us to accurately track all the transactions related to your account.

You use your account nickname to sign in to ClickBank, and it is displayed at the top of the My Account, My Site, and My Products tabs when you are logged in.

Your account nickname appears as part of your payment links and unencrypted HopLinks. It is visible to the customer every time we sell one of your products, and will appear on the memo line when we send you a check.

Once you open an account and select the nickname, the nickname for that account cannot be changed. If you are unhappy with your current account nickname, you can sign up for a new ClickBank account and close the existing account.

Some vendors use incorrect or outdated terms for your account nickname on their affiliate tools page or other pages. If you see references to your ClickBank ID, CBID, Affiliate ID, or Vendor ID, these terms refer to your account nickname. See the Using HopLinks article for more information about creating HopLinks using vendor and affiliate account nicknames.

LOL! You and me both Richard. I truly believe we are not the only one's who've made this mistake.

Dear it possible to make a small notation next to account ID box that when choosing Account ID name that it will be appear on the HopLink? So others won't follow our mistakes. :)

If it helps, you can always use encrypted HopLinks, which don't include the account nicknames in a user-readable format. See the Using HopLinks article for more information.

I'll also pass along your suggestion of providing more information about the account nickname during account creation.
